Team India lead by Suresh Raina…Ya not MS Dhoni thrashed West Indies on their home ground by conquering the series by 3-0 in a 5 match series.Indian side seemed less experienced if compared by huge Host…Men in Blue played their one of the best games and proving Youngsters are the real future of Team India…After wining the first match of the series,fans started to have hope of winning the majority..India remained same,they won second and third and hence capturing the series.After the WordCup win,Team India seemed lack of experience as Captain Ms Dhoni,Sachin Tendulkar ,Yuvraj all weren’t present..So there was a bit of nervousness among the players…but they proved themselves brilliantly…During the series Indian lethal weapons,Zaheer Khan and Sreesanth left in between because of injuries…but newbies proved the critics wrong by winning match without them too… !!!!

Finally after a long break ,I am back with my sports blogs….Recently a lot happened in the world of sports..From India winning the thrilling WordCup to IPL 4 to Barca proving the critics to Ferderer Losing to Rafa..I know,I missed all important events…But no worries,I am back to with the job and wont dissapoint you  !!!!

India clinches victory in a warm up match against Australia. Despite of the bad start India managed to score 214 at the mere economic rate of 4.80. Virender Sehwag continued to thrill the audience by scoring fast 54 of 56 balls and damage the bowling attack of Australia. Ab interim Brett Lee took 4 wickets to haul Indian batting line up. Australian batting lineup started off well and scored a 120 with 7 wickets in hand. Victory seemed diminished before Piyush Chawla chocked Aussies by taking valuable 4 wickets. With that Aussie ended 38 runs before the target given by India.

If your heart beats are getting faster.If you are not able to concentrate in your work. If you are getting thrilled with every news of cricket on television or even in news paper.This is very rare disease which comes after every four years and  causes epidemic in the world.This disease can not be cured.This disease was originated in 1975 and was termed “World Cup Mania”.

As the World Cup 2011 is approaching fast,the teams are getting  ready to prove their mettle.This time 14 teams will be playing including Canada and two new venues are added to schedule which are in Sri Lanka. According to the schedule 49 matches will be played apart from warm up matches two less than previous World Cup. First match will be played between India and Bangladesh on 19th February 2011 in Dhaka and the final will be played on 2 April 2011 in Mumbai. All eyes will be on Australia, as Aussies won the 2007 World Cup by thrashing Sri Lanka in Finals by 53 by DL rule.Can Aussie retain the Cup or emerging countries like India and SouthAfrica can prove the critics wrong?  This question is there in everybody’s mind.

Indian Cricket Fan

Gautam Gambhir left New Zealand toothless. With the second consecutive 100 Gautam Gambhir seals the series. With a brilliant start from Zahir Khan, Ashwin and Pathan too bowled a terrific spell and chocked New Zealand at a mere total of 224. Gautam Gambhir played an entrancing innings of 126 of 117. India won the match by 9 wickets and hence confirming the series win. With this win, India not only left Kiwis toothless but also made some fear among the World Cup competitors.

Sreesanth at Adelaide Oval

India did it again…Men in Blue thrashed Men in Black. Indian youngsters have start preparing to replace the seniors in the World Cup . With the excellent performance in the series against New Zealand ,they are now forcing selectors to rethink for the World Cup squad. New comers have won two consecutive ODI matches, proving their presence in international cricket . Their dedication and determination is now paying off as India took lead by 2-0 in the 5 match series against New Zealand. India played a marvelous innings by choking Kiwis at score of 258 . Sreesanth from India had a major hand in devastating New Zealand as he took crucial 4 wickets haul. From Indian batting squad , captain Gautam Gambhir scored a fast 138 of 116 balls only . India took over the second ODI match within 168 mins and 8 wickets to spare .

Wow…What a match!! A perfect nail-biting match between India and New Zealand played at Guwahati. Indians not only thrashed Kiwis by 40 runs but hinted their motive for upcoming World Cup Series. Indian squad headed by Gautam Gambhir played an outrageous innings and defeated Kiwis with a huge difference. India started with Murli Vijay and Gautam Gambhir and proved to be a crucial partnership. Virat Kohli took the command and scored a brilliant knock of 105 of 104 balls and hence giving India a starting edge over New Zealand. Indian batsmen did their task by providing a good target of 276 for New Zealand. Indian bowlers too did a good task and hence not disappointing the fans by bowling out Kiwi’s at the score of 236. From New Zealand squad ,it was only Ross Taylor who scored a crucial 66 and proved to be a wall between India and victory for a good time. India won the match by 40 runs and hence taking lead in 5 match series by 1-0.
